I have had previous training in the past with my dog at another dog school. Do I need to begin in Freshman K9?
Yes, although we teach basic commands in Freshman K9, it's the DOG PSYCHOLOGY, the how's and why's, energy control, and unwanted behavior assistance, that you will only learn at TSK9U. We do not want you missing out on key information, nor do we want you to be confused on why we are teaching the way we do.

How many dogs are enrolled in each group class?
We usually allow around 8 dogs or less in each group class.
All adult unaltered females will need to stay home if in season. No in heat females allowed.
Even if you have a behaviorally sound dog in season, it can possibly cause other dogs to react with behavioral issues. Most animals with hormones can act out at any moment with other males/females around. So for mental and physical safety, we ask you to leave your pet at home.
Does my K9 Angels Therapy Dogs and TSK9U Service Dogs need to be altered to join the program?
No, not "before" joining, because some puppies may still be too young. But we do require they are all spayed/neutered before earning your "IN-TRAINING" ID Card and Vest/Bandanna or before completing the program. As behaviorists, hormones can alter behaviors in your dog and others. Communication with your trainer is key and situations may vary.
Do I have to have a private lesson before joining Freshman K9.
No. But if your dog is human or dog aggressive, or pulling you around to get to other dogs or people, they cannot join Freshman K9 until you have better control. A 90 Minute Private Lesson is best for any aggression, fear, leash handling, or just to start off on the right paw before entering in a group.
